Samuel Abu Jinapor said the money paid to Woyome could have been used for the fulfillment of the 2011 action year’s promises. He was speaking on Peace fm’s ‘Kokrokoo’ show, Monday. According to him, the country was too poor to issue at once a cheque of ¢58 million as judgment debt to one person. His comments preceded the much publicized third encounter of President Mills with senior journalists and editors at the Castle, Osu. Abu Jinapor implored journalists to ask relevant questions and include that of the judgment debt paid to Alfred Woyome. He said the press was viewed as the voice of the people and that it is incumbent on them to ask the bread and butter issues that will inure to the benefit of all Ghanaians. |
