The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has directed the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to freeze the accounts of National Democratic Congress (NDC) financier, Alfred Agbesi Woyome, according to snippets of information available to Myjoyonline.com.

This forms part of investigations by the EOCO into circumstances that led to the payment of GHS 58 million judgement debt to the NDC guru.

President John Evans Atta Mills ordered for investigations into the Woyome saga after the NDC stalwart recently made news headlines for winning GHS 58 million judgement debt as compensation for what he said was the abrogation of a contract by the erstwhile Kufuor-administration.

Meanwhile, sources close to Mr woyome have confirmed the incident but declined further comments.
